AWS Opportunity Registration
Importance and procedures
Opportunity registration is a key process within the AWS ecosystem, enabling partners to maximize their co-selling efforts and improve the visibility of their interactions with AWS. This process is managed through the APN Customer Engagements (ACE) Program, which facilitates secure collaboration and co-selling with AWS, helping partners drive successful customer interactions and grow their business.
Opportunities
It is crucial that partners keep their opportunities updated in the AWS system, as this directly influences the quality of support received and the ability to close successful deals.
Types of opportunities:
Co-Sell Opportunity: Opportunities in which the partner requests support from AWS to close a deal.
For Visibility Only: Opportunities where the partner does not need AWS support, but wants to share information for joint visibility
Benefits of registering opportunities:
Accelerate the sales cycle: Facilitate direct collaboration with AWS, reducing the time needed to close deals.
Improve visibility: By logging opportunities, AWS gains a better understanding of the partner's sales pipeline, enabling more proactive support.
Dedicated support: Partners can receive quality information about opportunities generated by AWS, helping them decide whether to accept or decline.
Registration procedures:
Creating opportunities: When creating an opportunity, partners should attach their own AWS solutions or products to facilitate opportunity management and tracking.
Regular updates: Partners are advised to update opportunities every ten days until the end of their lifecycle is marked, which may include everything from expected revenue to launch dates.
