  • The AWS Free Tier allows customers to explore and try AWS services at no cost, up to the limits specified for each service. This tier includes three types of offers: 12 months free, always free, and short-term free trials. Depending on the service, customers can use products for free up to certain limits. If they exceed those limits, standard AWS fees will apply.

  • The services included in AWS's free tier vary in duration: some are valid for 12 months from account activation, while others remain free continuously up to certain limits, as long as a valid AWS account is maintained. There are also services with short-term trials that begin when the service is used for the first time.

  • The AWS Free Tier is available to all customer accounts, whether for students, small businesses, or large corporations. To take advantage of it, you simply need to sign up and create an AWS account. It's important to note that if you're linked to an organization in AWS Organizations, only one account within that organization can benefit from the free tier.

  • The AWS free tier isn't limited to specific use cases and allows new customers to use certain AWS services to test ideas or run applications. Common uses include hosting websites, development projects, and proof-of-concept testing.
